Last 6 Techniques Are for Closer Range
|
1. Keep it Simple Hitting the same spot is easiest. Against a good defense, you will have to mix it up, but still…. Keep it simple.
2. Choose Several Favorites. One should familiarize and train all these combos. But it’s better to pick 4 or 5 that you really like, and practice till the movements are second nature.
3. When striking more than 5 times, start with a 2 or 3 punch combo, then finish with a cycle punch. Again K.I.S.S.
4. Punches Per Second . Even the beginner can hit someone 3 times per second. The more advanced you get, it’s 5 to 7 punches per second. Anything more begins to lose power.
5. Punches Per Step. Same as above. For more than 5 punches, multiple steps are required to follow or stick to the opponent.
6. Short Bursts . if your combo didn’t work for some reason, step back and try another. There’s only so much the mind can handle before getting jumbled up.
II. Two-Punch CombosA. One-Two (2 shots to face)
